Baroque Extra Credit

Up to 5 points on homework/class participation grade, depending on the quality of work.

Find an example of graphic design (magazine ad, on-line graphic, etc.) that utilizes the VISUAL STRATEGIES (meaning here techniques to accomplish certain desired effects) developed during the Baroque age for engaging the viewer. You must find at least three different techniques that we have discussed in class, point those out, call them by their correct name, and explain what effect they achieve. You must compare your contemporary graphic design work to at least two examples of Baroque works of art that use these same techniques. This must be typed, double spaced, NO MORE THAN TWO PAGES.
